News Update from MBK's 2009 Annual Program
The event was held at Aggarwal Residence in Fremont on May 31st. from 4:00 to 6:00 pm followed by potluck dinner.
There were 52 performers from 3 year olds to 12 year olds saying their favorite poem with props, fun and action or talking about Akbar, Birbal or Holi festival. Level II and III students read out the story from the bilingual storybook prepared by them.
Students displayed their art work related to what they had learnt in class.
Over 150 children (students & siblings), parents and grand-parents attended the event.
Student performances were judged by 3 judges who are also students of MBK Language Center in the 'Hindi For Credit' High School Program.
Participants were awarded first, second and third prize based on their posture, pronunciation, props, and overall performance, and each student also received a certificate of completion designed by students of MBK Language Center.
